A few days before Christmas, Bill Badger and his friend IzzyBizzy the hedgehog are on the canal with a cargo of Xmas trees. They are looking forward to getting back time for Matty McVole's fabulous Christmas party, but then the great freeze hits them and the Wandering Wind is stuck fast in the ice. This is just the beginning of their troubles - their spirit of goodwill leads them to get tangled up with Mr Parker the fox, and his misdeeds. Blind Rat tries to be helpful but only brings them into greater danger and a meeting with the worst enemy of all...
